The Cabinet has approved the proposal to give bonus. This decision of the government will benefit 30 lakh employees. The Union Minister said, “The Union Cabinet has approved productivity related bonuses and non-productivity related bonuses for 2019-2020. More than 3 million non-gazetted employees will benefit from the bonus announcement. The total financial expenditure will be Rs 3,737 crore. “
Bonus money through Direct Benefit Transfer
He said, “Before Vijayadashami or Durga Puja, the bonus money will be given to the Central Government employees in a single installment through Direct Benefit Transfer. This will increase the demand in the market and the money will be in the hands of the middle class during the festival season. “
Which department employees will get Diwali bonus
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar informed that the government’s commercial establishments like Indian Railways, Post Office, Defense Productions, EPFO, Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) 17 Gazetted Employees will be given a Productivity Linked Incentive (PLI) bonus of Rs. 2,791 crore. Apart from this, 13 lakh employees working in the Central Government will be given Non-Productivity Linked (Non-PLI) bonus of Rs. 906 crore.
