New Delhi: Tata Projects Ltd will construct the new Parliament Building. Officials informed that Tata Projects Limited has won the bid for the construction of the new Parliament House building at a cost of Rs 861.90 crore. After the Central Public Works Department opened financial bids for the construction of the new building on Wednesday, Tata Projects Ltd bid Rs 861.90 crore, while Larsen & Toubro Limited ) Bid Rs 865 crore.
The new Parliament Building will be built as part of the Narendra Modi government’s plan to redevelop the Central Vista in New Delhi. According to the report, work on the new building is likely to begin after the Monsoon Session of Parliament is over.
Last month, the government made a shortlist of three Mumbai-based construction companies – Larsen & Toubro, Tata Projects and Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. – to make a final bid for the construction of the new parliament complex. These companies had to submit final bids for the construction of the Parliament complex. Only these three companies had qualified to place bids.
