New Delhi: Tata Motors has announced the commencement of bookings for its updated Harrier on its social media platforms. One of the major updates is the existing 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine which is compatible with BSVI emission norms. This engine generates a maximum power output of 170 PS and peak torque of 350 Nm.
The powertrain is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard or a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit. The 2023 Tata Harrier gets ADAS-like features. Features like automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, lane change alert, door open alert, rear cross-traffic alert and rear collision alert are available.
The interior is cool
The interiors get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and a new 7-inch TFT instrument console. Other highlights include USB-A and USB-C charging ports across all rows, a wireless smartphone charger, 200+ plus voice commands in 6 languages, ventilated front seats and a new 360-degree camera system.
Based on Omega Platform
Tata Harrier is still based on the Omega platform. It is to be noted that Tata showcased the near production Harrier EV 4×4 at the 2023 Auto Expo last month and it will most likely go on sale next year in India.
