Kabul: US Troops have withdrawn from Afghanistan. The last US planes took off from Kabul airport before 12 o’clock last night. With this, America’s war in Afghanistan that started 20 years ago also ended. The Taliban said on Tuesday that America’s defeat in Afghanistan is a lesson for other aggressors and our future generations. At the same time, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has told about the next plan regarding Afghanistan. Along with this, Blinken also gave a new formula to rule the Taliban.
US Secretary of State Blinken told the Taliban that if you want to rule Afghanistan, you have to fulfill your basic obligations and commitments to the freedom of citizens. Blinken said that for the time being, we will use the embassy in Doha to manage our diplomacy with Afghanistan. Including working with allies, partners, and international stakeholders to manage consular affairs, humanitarian aid, and send messages to the Taliban. Our team there will be led by Ian McCurry, who has served as our Deputy Chief of Mission in Afghanistan for the past year. He said that no one can be better than him to work here.
America’s departure is a lesson for the world – Taliban
On Monday night, 6 thousand American soldiers left Kabul airport in a hurry. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said on the runway of Hamid Karzai International Airport shortly after the last US plane took off from Kabul, “This is also a lesson for the world.” But we want good diplomatic relations with America and the rest of the world.” Celebrating the occasion, Taliban fighters fired in the air and gave signs of reconciliation.
Mujahid said, ‘Happy independence to Afghanistan. This victory belongs to all of us.’ Taliban fighters did not delay in taking control of Kabul airport. With this, America’s superpower image will no longer be the same.
US will help the Afghans
Blinken said- ‘Of course the American troops have returned. But for those who still want to leave Afghanistan, we will do our best to help them. No deadline has been set for this.
Now a new diplomatic mission will start in Qatar
In a big announcement on Tuesday, the US Secretary of State said that the US has ended diplomatic presence in Kabul and shifted its embassy from Kabul to Qatar. Blinken said that the US will now start a new diplomatic mission in Afghanistan from Qatar itself.
Start a new chapter
Blinken said a new chapter in America’s engagement with Afghanistan has begun. Here now we will proceed with our diplomacy. He said that more than 1,23,000 people, including about 6,000 American citizens, have been safely evacuated from Afghanistan.
The rescue operation was challenging
Blinken said the rescue operation in Afghanistan has been very challenging. He said that we faced many difficult situations during the military operation in Kabul. During this time it was becoming very difficult to coordinate with the embassy and the people in trouble.
