Kabul: The situation in Afghanistan is continuously deteriorating. Meanwhile, on Friday, Taliban terrorists shot dead Dawa Khan Menapal, the head of the state media and information center. The terrorists killed him when he was offering Namaz. The murder is the latest in a series of attacks on journalists and rights activists in recent months.
Menapal has served as a spokesman for President Ashraf Ghani’s outreach team.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the group’s fighters had killed Dawa Khan Mainapal, who ran the government’s press campaign for local and foreign media.
The Mujahid later said in a statement that Mainapal was killed in a special attack by the Mujahideen and “was punished for his actions”. Mujahid did not provide further details.

Afghanistan is one of the most dangerous countries in the world for journalists. Several recent attacks against civilians have been claimed by Islamic State, although the government often blames the Taliban.
It is noteworthy that the Taliban is slowly gaining its hold in every district. The Taliban have so far captured 90 percent of Afghanistan’s districts while fighting between the Taliban and the Afghan army is going on in 10 percent of the districts. In the last 24 hours, the Afghan army has killed more than 300 Talibanes.
