New Delhi: The ban on the operation of regular international flights has been extended until 31 October. Aviation sector regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) gave this information on Wednesday. The DGCA said, “However, listed international flights may be permitted to run on routes selected by the competent authority.”

It will depend on case to case basis. ” Regular international flights have been suspended since the lockdown imposed on March 23 to curb the spread of the corona virus. However, international flights are being operated under the Vande India Mission from May and special agreements with select countries from July.

India has entered into a special bilateral flight agreement (Air Bubble Pact) with the US, UK, UAE, Kenya, Bhutan and France. The DGCA clarified in its circular that this ban would only continue on regular international passenger flights. This will not affect the operation of all special flights and special permits.
