Stand breaks in Kabaddi Championship in Suryapet, 100 injured

Suryapet: In Kabaddi Championship being held at Suryapet in Telangana, the stand of the stand was broken due to which 100 people were injured. The accident happened at the SP office ground of Suryapet when people arrived for the opening ceremony of the 47th National Junior Kabaddi tournament. During this time, the stand on which many people were sitting suddenly fell. A video of this incident has also surfaced. The injured were admitted to the local hospital. Two people are seriously injured in the accident.

The game was organized by the Telangana Kabaddi Association in association with the Kabaddi Association of Suryapet district and was inaugurated on Monday and was to be played at the SP office grounds in Suryapet by 25 March. Three stands were built on the land of Suryapet, each of which had a seating capacity of about 5000 people. The ground has a total seating capacity of 15,000 spectators.

More than 1500 participants from 29 states are participating in the Kabaddi Championship. For the first time, Sikkim is participating in a national level event. Matches are being held on synthetic kabaddi mats in league-cum-knock-out format under floodlights on all four days.
