Facebook introduces new features for its users every day, and the company has recently added many new features to Messenger, in which users get end-to-end encryption, Features like screenshot detection, message reaction, typing indicators have been included. The option of end-to-end encryption chatting on Messenger was added in the year 2016, at that time it was known as Facebook Messenger. Last year Facebook changed its name to Meta. The feature of end-to-end encryption chatting is now available to all.
A report in The Verge states that many things have changed now, but the optional feature is available to all. Users can not only do end-to-end encrypted text messages, but also group chats and calls. Meta is considering implementing the end-to-end encrypt date feature by default, but that won’t happen until early next year.
You still get two options on Messenger, with the help of which you can do end-to-end encrypted messaging or calling. You can use Secret Conversation or Vanish Mode on this. To use Vanish Mode, users need to swipe up in the current chat.
In this mode, the message sent to the users disappears automatically when the chat window is closed. On the other hand, for secret conversations, you have to turn on the lock icon.
These are also features added
Apart from rolling out these features completely, some new features have also been added to Messenger. Now you can use GIFs, stickers, and long press to reply in end-to-end encrypted chats. Along with this, the end-to-end encrypted chat will also get a verified badge, which will help people to differentiate between authentic and fake accounts. These features will be rolled out on Messenger in the coming weeks.
The screenshot detection feature and message reaction feature are some of the special features that WhatsApp users have been waiting for for a long time. However, now that Facebook has made the features available for Messenger, they may soon be introduced on WhatsApp as well.
