All are criticizing the central government in this matter. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has also demanded the government to withdraw this draft. Now the interim president of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi, has also surrounded the government on this issue. In her article written in an English newspaper, she has targeted the government on this issue. Sonia Gandhi has also said that from the Chief Minister of Gujarat to the Prime Minister, the record of PM Modi (Narendra Modi) has been poor regarding the environment.
Sonia Gandhi has said that it is important to protect nature on behalf of us. PM Modi should consider this draft. He said, ‘When you protect nature, then nature also protects you. Recently, the coronavirus epidemic that has spread in the world is also giving us new lessons. In such a situation, it is our duty to protect nature. He also said that whether it is the case of coal mines or the EIA, no opinion is being taken by the government. Sonia Gandhi also said that the country has sacrificed the environment to move forward in the race for development. But it should also have a limit.
Targeting the government, Sonia Gandhi has said that the record of this government has been much in the last 6 years, in which there is no idea to protect the environment. Our country is currently far behind in this matter in the world. The government needed to consider this due to the Corona epidemic. But it is being ignored. He also said that no one is opposing the new environmental policy. The government should have consulted scientists and experts before bringing it.
