Sino-Nepal claims to measure world’s highest mountain peak, know what is the height of Mount Everest

Kathmandu: Nepal and China jointly released the revised height of Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain peak, on Tuesday, which is reported to be 8848.86 meters.

The government of Nepal had decided to measure the exact height of Everest. The elevation of Everest has been debated for the last few years and it is believed that the peak height has been changed due to the devastating earthquake in 2015, along with many other reasons.

Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali said that Nepal has measured the height of Everest at 8848. 86 meters. The new height is 86 cm higher than the previously measured height. Mount Everest has a height of 8,848 meters according to measurements made in 1954 by the India Survey.
