She has become the first woman from her country and the 72nd woman in history to win the prestigious crown. She was crowned by her predecessor, R’Bonnie Gabriel from South Africa, at the grand finale held in Miami, USA.
Shanice, who was also the winner of Miss Nicaragua 2022, impressed the judges and the audience with her beauty, intelligence, and charisma. The first runner-up was Miss Thailand, Pimchanok Phuwong, a 24-year-old actress and singer, who spoke about the importance of mental health awareness and self-love. The second runner-up was Miss Australia, Isabella Walker, a 22-year-old law student and human rights activist, who addressed the issue of gender equality and violence against women. The other contestants who made it to the top 10 were Miss Brazil, Miss Colombia, Miss France, Miss India, Miss Mexico, Miss Philippines, and Miss USA. Miss India, Shweta Sharda, a 21-year-old medical student and dancer, was eliminated in the top 10 round, after giving a stunning performance in the swimsuit and evening gown segments.
