New Delhi: In the latest ranking for the batsmen of ICC Test Cricket, India’s explosive batsman Rohit Sharma and Team India captain Virat Kohli in the batting department, and India’s experienced off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in the bowling maintained their own footing.
In the ICC rankings, Rohit Sharma is 5th, Virat Kohli 6th, and Ashwin is at second place while fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has slipped a place to 10th position. Except for Ravichandran Ashwin, all the three players of Team India were not part of the playing XI in the first match of the latest Test series played in Kanpur.
Shreyas Iyer, who was Man of the Match playing the first Test match of the latest series, moved up to 75th place in the ICC Test Rankings thanks to his innings of 105 and 65 runs. He is second on the list of all-rounder players. Ravichandran Ashwin is ranked third in the ICC World Rankings for all-rounder cricketers and 79th among batsmen.
New Zealand cricket team’s great player Tom Latham has jumped from 14th to 9th place in the ICC World Test Rankings. It is worth noting that in the first Test match of the latest Test series between India and New Zealand, he played excellent innings of 95 and 52 runs at Kanpur ground. Among bowlers, Kyle Jamieson is ranked ninth in the World ICC Test Rankings. Tim Southee is in third place. And India’s experienced bowler Ravichandran is only one point behind Ashwin.
