- “Triple M” Formula: Shah introduced a new election strategy Mahila (women), Modi, and Mandir (temple) directing workers to focus on women voters, highlight PM Modi’s achievements, and celebrate the construction of Ram Mandir and the Sita temple in Sitamarhi.
- “Expel Every Infiltrator”: Shah promised to drive out every “ghuspaithiya” (infiltrator) from Bihar if the NDA wins, accusing Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav of protecting infiltrators for vote bank politics.
- “Four Diwalis”: Shah declared that Bihar will celebrate four Diwalis: for the Ram Mandir, for a women’s empowerment scheme, for GST rate cuts, and finally for the NDA’s victory with over 160 seats.
Araria: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, concluding a pivotal two-day tour of Bihar, launched a high-octane campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections, setting an ambitious target of 160+ seats for the NDA. Addressing around 4,200 BJP workers from 10 organizational districts at Forbesganj in Araria on Saturday, Shah framed the election as a battle to “drive out every single infiltrator” from the state and permanently free it from the “loot” of the RJD and Congress regimes.
The “Triple M” Strategy and “Four Diwalis” Promise
In a key strategy meeting with party leaders in Samastipur, Shah unveiled his “Triple M” formula for victory: Mahila (women), Modi, and Mandir (temple). He instructed party workers to personally connect with women voters and inform them about the NDA government’s welfare schemes. He emphasized highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “corruption-free” 11-year tenure and celebrating the fulfillment of promises like the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and the upcoming Sita temple at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi, for which Rs 900 crore has been allocated.
Expanding on this theme, Shah told the crowd they would celebrate “four Diwalis” this year:
- The return of Lord Ram to his temple in Ayodhya.
- PM Modi’s scheme providing ₹10,000 each to 7.5 million women in Bihar for employment.
- The reduction in prices of over 395 items due to GST reforms.
- The formation of an NDA government in Bihar with over 160 seats.
Scathing Attack on RJD and Congress Over “Infiltrators”
Shah’s speech was dominated by a blistering attack on the opposition, particularly on the issue of illegal immigration. He accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav of undertaking their “Voter Adhikar Yatra” with the sole purpose of protecting the voting rights of “ghuspaithiyas” (infiltrators).
“Rahul baba and Lalu and Company want to secure voting rights for infiltrators. I promise you that each and every infiltrator will be driven out of Bihar if the NDA wins with a two-thirds majority,” Shah declared to cheers from the party cadres in the Seemanchal region, which has a significant Muslim population. He contrasted the opposition’s alleged “scams of over ₹12 lakh crore” with PM Modi’s clean governance, stating the opposition couldn’t level a corruption charge of even “25 paise” against Modi.
Focus on Seemanchal and Development Agenda
Addressing workers in the strategic Seemanchal and Kosi regions, Shah urged them to capture the Kishanganj seat, which the NDA had lost in the 2020 elections. He positioned the election not as a contest to make “Lalu’s son the Chief Minister,” but as a mission to secure Bihar’s development, strengthen PM Modi’s leadership, and permanently solve the region’s flood problems through initiatives like the Kosi-Mechi river-linking project.
Shah’s tour, which also included meetings in Bettiah and Sarairanjan, was aimed at energizing the party’s grassroots workers, whom he called the true “maliks” (masters) of the BJP. The visit signals the BJP’s aggressive electoral posture as the Election Commission is expected to announce poll dates for the 243-member Bihar Assembly soon.
