Patna: In Bihar, about 17 lakh electricity consumers have not been able to get their electricity bills. There are 6 lakh consumers in Patna alone, who have not yet received the electricity bill. Whereas in 6 dozen other cities, there are consumers who are finding it difficult to deposit dues due to non-receipt of electricity bills. Actually, it will take 2 to 3 days for the server to get fixed now. Only after this the consumers will be able to get the electricity bill and will be able to deposit the amount again. They will be given more time for this. By the way, one crore 53 lakh consumers of other areas including rural and urban of the state are not facing any problem in getting or depositing electricity bills.
In view of the problem with the server, the electricity bill company has decided that the consumers will be given time to deposit the electricity bill. The company has just given manual bills to the consumers of the industrial sector. Along with this, manual bills have also been given to commercial consumers. Domestic consumers will get the bill before August 20. Along with this, the consumers will also be given time to submit it. It will be recorded on the bill itself that till when they will be able to deposit it and after which date they will not have to pay the fine or if they have to deposit the bill with the fine, then its date will also be mentioned. It is the effort of the electricity distribution company that the consumers do not face any problem in paying the electricity bill.
Experts from Delhi will come
According to the information, the electricity company generates the electricity bill on two types of software. Recently, under the Restructured Accelerated Power Development Reforms Program i.e. RAPDRP, there was a fault in the SP software (through which the electricity bill is given). After the fault in this software, the company’s personnel are coming from Delhi and are engaged in fixing it.
The situation is expected to return to normal by August 20
According to officials, all the data related to the consumers has now been uploaded and the work of its verification is also going on. It is expected to be repaired in two-three days and electricity bill will be given to the people like before August 20. Electricity bill is given to 1 crore 53 lakh consumers of the state through the portal of NIC, another software of the company, in which there is no problem at present. As before, electricity bills are being given to the consumers connected with NIC. Such consumers are also easily paying their electricity bills.
