New Delhi: Samsung has announced three new smartphones in its Galaxy A series, namely the Galaxy A25 5G, Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A14 5G. All three devices offer 5G connectivity, Super AMOLED displays with Vision Booster technology, and triple rear cameras with OIS and VDIS support. They also come with the Knox Security platform and the Knox Vault chipset for enhanced data protection. Here are the details of each smartphone:
Galaxy A25 5G
The Galaxy A25 5G is the most premium of the three, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate display for a smooth and responsive user experience. The display also has Vision Booster technology, which Samsung claims can improve the brightness and contrast of the content on the screen in outdoor situations. The device has a 50-megapixel main camera, along with an ultra-wide-angle camera and a depth sensor. The main camera supports OIS (optical image stabilization), which can reduce the effects of hand movements and camera shake on the photos and videos. The device also has several AI-powered photo-editing features, such as filters, stickers, and effects, but Samsung has not revealed the specifics of these features yet.
The Galaxy A25 5G is powered by an Exynos 1280 SoC, which is a 5G-enabled chipset with eight cores and a Mali-G78 GPU. The device has a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 25W fast charging via a USB-C port. The device also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The device runs on Android 11 with One UI 4.0 on top.
Galaxy A15 5G
The Galaxy A15 5G is similar to the Galaxy A25 5G in terms of the display, camera, and battery. The only difference is that the Galaxy A15 5G has a 90Hz refresh rate display, instead of 120Hz. The device also has the same Vision Booster technology, OIS support, and AI photo-editing features as the Galaxy A25 5G. The device also has the same Exynos 1280 SoC, 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, 3.5mm headphone jack, fingerprint scanner, and microSD card slot as the Galaxy A25 5G.
Galaxy A14 5G
The Galaxy A14 5G is the most affordable of the three, featuring a 60Hz refresh rate display with Vision Booster technology. The device has a 48-megapixel main camera, along with an ultra-wide-angle camera and a depth sensor. The main camera supports VDIS (video digital image stabilization), which can reduce the blur or distortion in the videos. The device also has the same AI photo-editing features as the other two devices.
The Galaxy A14 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC, which is a 5G-enabled chipset with eight cores and a Mali-G57 GPU. The device has a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 15W fast charging via a USB-C port. The device also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The device runs on Android 11 with One UI 4.0 on top.
Design and availability
All three devices have a sleek and elegant design, with a metal frame and a glass back. Samsung says that the devices have a “premium feel with its signature design language.” The devices have a rectangular camera module at the back, which resembles the Galaxy S23 series. The devices are available in various colors, such as black, white, blue, and pink.
Samsung has not revealed the pricing and availability details of the devices yet, but they are expected to launch in India and other markets soon. Samsung says that the devices are aimed at young and tech-savvy consumers, who want to enjoy the benefits of 5G, high-quality displays, and powerful cameras.
