Mumbai: The Mumbai Police have arrested Shariful Islam, the prime suspect in the break-in at Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence. In a press conference held on Saturday, DCP Dixit Gedam of the Mumbai Crime Branch revealed shocking details about the case. Islam, originally from Bangladesh, had been living in Mumbai for the past five to six months using a fake identity.
A Plan Gone Wrong
According to police officials, the accused entered Saif Ali Khan’s home with the sole intention of theft. Unaware of the celebrity status of the homeowner, Islam believed he could discreetly steal valuables and leave unnoticed. However, his plan took an unexpected turn, resulting in his arrest.
DCP Gedam explained, “This appears to be the first such incident involving the accused. The investigation is ongoing to uncover more details about his activities and intentions.”
