Kyiv: As Russian artillery and planes continue to attack Ukrainian cities, Russia’s foreign minister said his country’s goal is to overthrow the government of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It seems that Russia has changed its aim. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s remarks came amid an effort by Ukraine to restore grain exports from its Black Sea ports. Resumption of food grains exports will help to overcome the shortage of food grains in the world.
At the Arab League conference in Cairo on Sunday, Lavrov said Russia is determined to help free Ukrainians “from the burden of this absolutely unacceptable regime.” Alleged that Ukraine is ‘Russia’s all-time enemy.’

Lavrov said that Russia was ready to negotiate an agreement to end hostilities in March itself, but Ukraine changed its position and announced its intention to eliminate Russia on the battlefield. “Western countries emphasized that Ukraine should not negotiate until Russia is defeated on the battlefield,” he said.
