Nagpur: According to big news, many important hideouts including the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Headquarters (RSS Headquarters) of Nagpur in Maharashtra are on the target of Jaish-e-Mohammed. Given this information, Nagpur Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that security has been increased at important places along with the union headquarters.
Nagpur Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that some important places in Nagpur are on the radar of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. Jaish has conducted a recce of sensitive locations of Nagpur a few days back.
According to CP Amitesh Kumar, as soon as this information is received, the security of all important and sensitive places has been increased. The additional police force has been deployed there. Including the headquarters of the union. Everywhere the police are keeping vigil. After this information came to light, a case has been registered under the provisions of UAPA. Till now, no one has been arrested by Nagpur Police.
CP Kumar said, “At this point in time, we will not be able to reveal the exact locations of which reconnaissance efforts were being made. Whatever measures are to be taken to secure the vital installations have been taken by the police. If there is a terrorist attack, there is a place, then we are adequately prepared to counter it and neutralize it.”
According to Nagpur police officials, a case has been registered at Kotwali police station and the investigation has been handed over to the Nagpur crime branch. Police sources said they had received information that at least three to four Jaish-e-Mohammed operatives had attempted to conduct recce in Nagpur, following which the information was confirmed and a case was registered.
Police sources claimed that the information received also states that the suspects managed to make photographs and videos of some important places in the city. Based on the said information, the police have beefed up the security apparatus in the city and are also checking the CCTVs of the places which were probably visited by the terrorist operatives.
