Mumbai: Sony Pictures International, in association with Mukesh Khanna’s Bhishma International, made a big announcement earlier this year about the superhero Shaktimaan. The 90s superhero Shaktimaan will be revamped as a franchise and the initial work on it has already started. Meanwhile, the news is coming that Ranveer Singh has been approached for the role of an Indian superhero in the film.
Confirming this news, IndiaToday said that ‘Ranveer has been offered Shaktimaan. The actor has shown keen interest in being a part of the film. However, he hasn’t signed the film on dotted lines yet.’ Mukesh Khanna declined to give any details on the same. However, he did not even deny the news. Ranveer is currently shooting for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, in which Alia Bhatt will also be seen in an important role.

Ranveer has already completed shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Circus. The actor also has Simmba 2 in the pipeline, but the film is not set to go on floors anytime soon. There is one more film with Shankar, but the film is currently in its very early stages.
