Mumbai: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ The second phase of Bharat Jodo Yatra will start from Gujarat. This yatra will end in Meghalaya. At the same time, Congress will start its padayatra in the entire Maharashtra as well. Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole gave this information on Tuesday.

Nana Patole said that when Rahul Gandhi starts his yatra, Maharashtra Congress will also start padayatra across Maharashtra. I myself will lead the padayatra in Vidarbha. Vijay Vadettiwar will lead the padayatra in West Vidarbha. Balasaheb Thorat will lead the yatra in North Maharashtra, Ashok Chavan in Marathwada, Prithviraj Chavan in Western Maharashtra, Varsha Gaikwad in Mumbai. While all the leaders in Konkan will end the padayatra.

Patole further said that after the padayatra, we will start the bus journey. Even on a bus journey, we will travel all over Maharashtra, hold meetings, talk to people, and convey the shortcomings of the Central and State Governments to the people and this will bring a big change in Maharashtra in the coming times.

According to Congress sources, the second phase of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is likely to begin in September. The first phase of Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra was aimed at connecting with the people of India at the grassroots level, understanding their concerns, and garnering support for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. During the first leg of the yatra, Rahul Gandhi traveled on foot through 14 states for more than 150 days. The first phase of the Bharat Jodo Yatra began in Tamil Nadu in September last year and ended in Kashmir.

During the first leg of the yatra, Rahul Gandhi covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir. During this, many prominent personalities like actors Amol Palekar, Riya Sen, Swara Bhaskar, former Governor of Reserve Bank of India Raghuram Rajan, and former head of Research and Analysis Wing AS Dulat joined the yatra with Rahul Gandhi in different states from different fields.
