Pune: According to the shocking news of the morning, a major accident has come to light in Pune. a heavy steel structure has collapsed in an under-construction shopping mall here, under which 5 people have died while 2 people have been badly injured. At present, the injured have been admitted to the hospital where they are undergoing treatment. In this regard, Pune’s DCP Rohidas Pawar told that all the laborers are from Bihar. Although it is not yet clear how the steel structure collapsed, the investigation is now underway.
According to the police, the incident took place at around 11.45 pm last night. In fact, the construction work of the mall was going on here and suddenly a part of the building collapsed during steelwork. Five laborers have died in the accident and the condition of two remains critical. In the preliminary investigation of the police, it has come to the fore that the precautions that should have been taken during the work were not arranged by the contractor.
At the same time, according to the top officials of the Pune Municipal Corporation, after the incident, it is currently being investigated as to how and with what structure permission was given for the construction of the mall, documents are being seen for this. Not only this, whether the site was allowed to work at night or not, its information is also being taken from the construction department. In such a situation, if any rule is found to be violated, then strict action will be taken against the culprits.
