Patna: The capital city of Bihar witnessed intense protests on Friday as students demanded the cancellation of normalization in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examinations. The agitation intensified in the evening, leading to the detention of prominent coaching instructor Khan Sir and student leader Dilip by the Patna Police.

The situation unfolded after a lathi charge was carried out on the protesting candidates earlier in the day. Khan Sir, known for his influence among students, arrived at the protest site to support the candidates and made powerful statements targeting anti-social elements and mafias allegedly exploiting the students’ cause.

Khan Sir’s Call to Action: “No Place for Mafias in Our Struggle”

Addressing the gathered students, Khan Sir emphasized the integrity of the movement, urging them to prevent any interference by outsiders. “Are you truly students of the class or not? Will you allow such elements to enter?” he questioned, appealing for vigilance.

In a fiery speech, he warned the mafias to stay away from the protests, asserting, “We will not back down until normalization is canceled. The pain of the students is beyond the understanding of these mafias. They exploit students, charging exorbitant fees of ₹80,000 to ₹1 lakh, and have no stake in our fight.”

Khan Sir’s Stand Against Normalization and Lathi Charge

Khan Sir reiterated his commitment to the students, promising that he would fight to ensure normalization is scrapped. He condemned the use of force on the candidates, describing the lathi charge as “absolutely wrong and unjustified.” He further stated, “These are unarmed children. Such actions against them are unacceptable.”

What’s Next? Protests Continue Despite Crackdown

The detention of Khan Sir and Dilip has added a new dimension to the protests, with students vowing to continue their movement until their demands are met. The issue of normalization in BPSC examinations remains a contentious one, and the protests highlight the growing discontent among aspirants preparing for competitive exams in Bihar.
