Priyanka Chopra recently addressed the United Nations, General Assembly. After her busy schedule, Priyanka attended the Global Citizen Festival with her husband Nick Jonas. She, along with director Anthony Russo, discussed her upcoming science fiction detective series Citadel for Amazon Prime Video on a panel on TV’s Best Big Bet Show. Priyanka is playing the role of an agent in this series.

Priyanka Chopra told during the panel discussion what attracted her to this global action franchise. It took him months for this series and this series inspired him to learn and speak 6 languages. Priyanka said that Indian, Italian, Spanish, and Mexican spin-offs of ‘Citadel’ will also be made. Priyanka Chopra is the first Indian actress to have a TV deal with Amazon Studios.

The Indian spin-off of ‘Citadel’ will be directed by director duo Raj and DK. It will feature Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles. Samantha is currently in the US and is working on the physics required for her part and is taking training from experts.

Priyanka Chopra was the first choice for Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, and the Citadel for Rousseau. Priyanka is playing the role of an agent named Salke in the film. He said, “When Salke’s character was taken to Priyanka, it was as if a light bulb had gone out. It was very intelligent and smart. Priyanka represents the essence of what we are trying to do with the show.”
