Singapore: The chief priest of Singapore’s oldest Hindu temple has been arrested on “criminal treachery” charges. police gave this information. According to Channel News Asia, the temple was told that information about the disappearance of the jewelry was found during the audit.
The statement does not mention the name of the priest. It said, “The gold ornaments used during prayers were kept under the supervision of the chief priest in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. The priest was questioned about this and returned all the missing jewelery later. ” Police said the 36-year-old priest has been arrested on charges of criminal breach of trust. It was said on behalf of the temple that the chief priest is still on bail. Police said that the case is under investigation.
