Pranay Bhalerao, Author of The Lost World series, is back with a new book. This time it’s a trilogy. And the first book of this three-book series is out. And how? It has skyrocketed on the bestsellers chart. Ever since is made available for pre-orders, this mythological fiction has raked in good numbers. It is sharing the bestsellers list with the classics like Shiva Trilogy and Ram Chandra series. Even for a couple of days it even defeated the latest offering from Amish Tripathi, The War of Lanka. Though the best seller badge has kept itself away from The protectors of Kavaach, if the trend continues like this, it would be no surprise that the book would ultimately hit that golden badge. This book, The Protectors of Kavaach is touted as the magnum opus and falls under Mythological Fantasy fiction. The 28-year-old author, through his video trailer also hinted at the Superhero and Supervillain genre. This is to be seen how that turns out. To keep the excitement up, the author also shared the audio file of the prologue of the first book and it was enough to generate curiosity among the readers.
As for the theme of the book is concerned, it is the story of the long-lost secret from the era of Mahabharata, which is now vulnerable. A bloodline rises to protect it from centuries and hands over the responsibility to the upcoming generation. But everything must come to an end. A protected Rakshasa from the era of 600 BCE goes after it, wreaking havoc in Sapt-Sindhu. The secret required to be protected, and thus the bloodline of protectors was created. Now that’s all we currently know about the plot of the book. Pranay guaranteed his readers expect more than that from the book. The element of Science-Fiction is also there in the book.
Overall the book is looking promising and from the trailers and the snippets, we can’t wait to read it. The plot itself is interesting and the work is more polished than his previous offerings.
Pranay’s previous two books The Lost World and The Lost World Rises clicked with the audiences and received appreciation all over. His books are being pitched to the producers to create motion pictures.
