MUMBAI: SpiceJet, which provides its important facility in air travel, has been facing the brunt of notoriety for the last few days for its service. Sometimes a torn seat, sometimes due to cooling of such or sometimes other flaws like spyware attack remains in the discussion. This time there has been a case of windshield cracking in the sky itself. According to the information received, a SpiceJet plane from Mumbai to Gorakhpur was carrying passengers. Then the pilot noticed a creak in the windshield in the air. Soon after, the pilot landed the plane back on the runway of the Mumbai airport. Due to the wisdom of the angel-turned-pilot, the lives of many passengers were saved, otherwise, there could have been a major accident.
An airline spokesperson said that the SpiceJet Boeing 737 aircraft took off from Mumbai to Gorakhpur on May 28 when a crack was noticed in the windshield of that Boeing, immediately after which the aircraft was returned to Mumbai. Before any untoward accident occurred, the pilot intelligently informed the air control traffic. After clearance from air control, the flight landed back at Mumbai airport.
In such a situation, hundreds of passengers may have been saved due to the wisdom of the pilot, but who is responsible for this negligence is an important question. After all, whether the lives of the passengers were at stake due to the negligence of the safety clearance or whether this creak came after the plane took off, is a matter of investigation.
