Yakutat (USA): A Plane of Alaska Airlines collided with a brown bear while landing on Saturday evening. The bear died in the incident, while the plane was also damaged.
No passengers or crew members were injured in the incident at Yakutat Airport in southeastern Alaska, according to the Anchorage Daily News. Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Works spokesman Sam Depkevich said that although the brown bear was killed in the crash, the bear’s two-year-old baby is safe. The left side of the aircraft was damaged in the incident.
