
New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ has become the first Hindi film to earn the highest gross worldwide on the day of its release. If the news is to be believed, the total collection of ‘Pathan’ on the first day is around Rs 106 crore, out of which Rs 69 crore has been received from the domestic box office alone, while 35.5 crores have been earned from the overseas box office.
According to Box Office Worldwide’s tweet, ‘Pathan’ has collected $1.5 million (over Rs 12 crore) from North America. 650 thousand dollars (more than 5 crore rupees) have been earned from UK and Europe box office. ‘Pathan’ is expected to earn more than $1 million (Rs 8.1 crore) from the Gulf market. With Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’, his reign at the box office has been restored.
Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ has broken the records of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War’ and Yash’s ‘KGF 2’ on the first day of its release. War collected around 50 crores on the first day, while ‘KGF 2’ earned 52 crores. Now it is expected that the film will earn tremendously on its first weekend. From the first day collection of ‘Pathan’, it seems that the Hindi film industry is back on track. If the film is good, then the audience will reach the theater to watch it.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham also have important roles in ‘Pathan’. Apart from Hindi, the film was released in Tamil and Telugu. According to media reports, Deepika Padukone had said for Shahrukh Khan in an interview, ‘I will never be able to express in words what I feel for him. The relationship with them is of feeling and love. I think we are very lucky that we got a chance to work on many wonderful films. Shahrukh Khan, 57, will next be seen in ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunky’.
