Mumbai: According to big news, the Mumbai court has declared IPS officer Param Bir Singh as a fugitive in the extortion case. This information was given by the news agency PTI.
On Wednesday, the third non-bailable warrant was issued by the court against the former commissioner Singh. At the same time, in another case, another non-bailable warrant was issued against Parambir Singh in Mumbai’s Marine Drive police station in the case of extortion. But Parambir Singh did not come forward.
It is to be noted that police officers were booked under the Indian Penal Code at Marine Drive police station in Mumbai and Kopri police station in Thane on charges of extortion, cheating, forgery, and kidnapping for ransom. Shyam Sundar Agarwal had alleged that the accused had demanded Rs 15 crore to drop the cases registered against him under MCOCA and NDPS Act.
At the same time, Parambir Singh is also accused in the case of recovery of 100 crores. NIA Singh, who is probing the Antilia and Mansukh Hiren murder case, was summoned several times for questioning, but he did not appear before the investigating agencies. Due to which the NIA and the investigating agencies of the state of Maharashtra suspected that Parambir Singh might have fled the country for fear of arrest. NIA has to complete its investigation for which Parambir wants to interrogate Singh but now Parambir’s trace is not found.
It may be noted that so far four FIRs have been registered against Singh. He had alleged that the then Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had given a target of collecting Rs 100 crore to Sachin Waje every month. For this, Deshmukh had also given Waje a list of bar and restaurant owners based in Mumbai from which recovery could be made. Parambir had also alleged that apart from Deshmukh Waje, several other police officers had similarly given a target to recover money. After which Anil Deshmukh resigned from the post of Home Minister of Maharashtra.

In February this year, the former Mumbai Police Commissioner was transferred to the Home Guard Department following the allegations. After which he reportedly remained in office till May. Singh then sought leave on health grounds and reportedly traveled to his hometown Chandigarh. After which nothing has been known about them. According to reports, there is talk of Singh going abroad.
