Singapore: There is an atmosphere of panic due to the arrival of 3703 new cases of Covid in Singapore. Of these, 832 cases are of migrant workers living in group housing getting infected. Three people from abroad have been found infected. At the same time, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Soong has said that the next few months will be challenging and at the same time Singapore will emphasize the strategy to live with this virus.
The Health Ministry said on Sunday that with the arrival of new cases of infection, there were a total of 1,24,157 cases of coronavirus in Singapore. It was told by the ministry that 153 people have died due to infection, out of which 52 people have died this month.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Soong said on Saturday that the number of infections in Singapore has been increasing continuously for the past few weeks, so the next few months will be challenging. He expressed hope that the increase in cases would stop within a month.
Soong said that Singapore will emphasize the strategy of living with the virus. He said that once the cases of Covid-19 stabilize, it will take three to six months to adopt this ‘new normal’ situation.
As part of efforts to restart economic activity, the government announced on Saturday that quarantined travel would be allowed in Singapore for people who had been vaccinated.
