It is known by different names in different states. You can eat Golgappe from the street at many big food outlets. There is no answer to its popularity in India, Pakistan, and Nepal. But there is bad news for the people of Nepal.
Actually, bad news has come for the lovers of golgappas in Nepal. In view of the increasing cases of cholera in the Kathmandu Valley here, Lalitpur Metropolitan City has currently banned the sale of golgappas. At present, this ban will remain in place in many parts of the country till further orders.
According to the report, LMC officials announced this and said that cholera bacteria have been found in the water used in Pani Puri, due to which people are falling prey to it. At the same time, according to the Ministry of Health and Population, 7 more people have been confirmed to have cholera in Kathmandu Valley. With this, now the number of patients in the valley has increased to 12.
Treatment of the infected is going on at Sukarraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Hospital, Teku. Along with this, the Ministry of Health and Population has appealed to the people to immediately go to their nearest hospital if they see any symptoms of cholera. The ministry has also requested everyone to be alert. On the other hand, according to city police chief Sitaram Hachethu, internal preparations have also been made to stop the sale of golgappas in the city.
