Islamabad: Pakistan has decided to send its cricket team to India to participate in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The Foreign Ministry of Pakistan has given this information on Sunday.
In a press release, Pakistan said it has consistently said, “Pakistan has consistently maintained that sports should not be mixed with politics. Therefore, it has decided to send its cricket team to India to participate in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
He said, “Pakistan believes that the state of bilateral relations with India should not come in the way of fulfilling its international sporting obligations.” He said, “Pakistan’s decision reflects its constructive and responsible approach as against India’s obstinate attitude, as India refused to send its cricket team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.
He added, “However, Pakistan is deeply concerned about the security of its cricket team. We are conveying these concerns to the International Cricket Council and the Indian authorities. We expect that full security will be ensured for the Pakistan cricket team during their tour of India.
The Pakistani team will come to India after almost seven years. In such a situation, once again a tough fight will be seen between India and Pakistan. This match is expected to be very exciting. The World Cup is going to start from 5 October. Whereas, on October 14, there will be a clash between Pakistan and India.
