Washington: President Joe Biden has said that it will be difficult for the US to withdraw troops from Afghanistan by May 1, but it will not take much time for a full army withdrawal. Under the agreement reached between former President Donald Trump and the Taliban, the US has to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan by May 1.
In an interview to ABC News’ George Stefanopulus, Biden said he was discussing the issue of the military’s withdrawal with his colleagues. When asked about the withdrawal of troops by the deadline, he said, “It is possible but difficult.” He said that if the time limit is extended then this process will not take much time.
