Tehran: A top Iranian security official on Monday accused Israel of using electronic devices to remotely assassinate an Iranian scientist who was involved in the country’s military nuclear program in the 2000s. The foundation of the Military Nuclear Program was laid.

Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, made the remarks during the burial of scientist Mohsin Fakhrizadeh. Meanwhile, Iran’s Defense Minister Amir Hatami decided to expedite the work of the scientist. Israel has long been suspected of involvement in the assassination of Iran’s nuclear scientists over the past decade. He declined to comment on the attack, however.

Fakhrijadeh used to lead Iran’s AMAD program. Israel and the West accuse it of being a military operation seeking to develop nuclear weapons. Shamkhani’s remarks have changed the story of the murder of a scientist on Friday. Authorities initially said a truck exploded and then gunmen came and shot and killed the scientist.

The English-language state-run Press TV in Iran had earlier reported that a weapon with the logo of the Israeli military industry and other identities had been found on the spot. The Arabic-language state TV channel Al-Alam has claimed that the weapons used in the killings were “controlled by satellite”.

The quasi-government news agency “Fars” also claimed this on Sunday. However, no media institution immediately presented any evidence in support of its claim. Shamkhani told state TV, “Unfortunately, the campaign was very complicated and has been carried out using electronic devices. No one was present at the scene. “

He also blamed Iran’s exiled organization Mujahideen-e-Khalq for playing a role in the attack. On Monday, however, Fakhrizada’s funeral took place in Tehran on the outskirts of the Iranian Defense Ministry. It was attended by General Husseini Salami, head of the Revolutionary Guard, General Ismail Ghani, head of the Guard’s Kuds Force, Ali Akbar Sahei, head of the civilian nuclear program, and Mahmoud Alvi, Minister of Intelligence.
