New Delhi: Among the rapidly growing cases of Corona infection in the country, Covid-19 investigative companies SRL Diagnostics, Dr. Lal Pathlabs, and Thyrocare Technologies have their own testing facilities and workforce. Anand said that the company is adding more and more workforce into the network. Along with the workforce, machines and technology are also being increased to reduce the time taken for reporting.
SRL diagnostics will start labs in these cities
Anand said that we already have 15 RT-PCR labs. Soon we are going to start five such new labs. These labs will be started in Calicut, Jaipur, Surat, Lucknow, and Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, the work of collecting samples will also be expedited. Dr. Lal Path Lab said that amidst the growing infection of Covid-19, the demand for RT-PCR tests has increased rapidly. This has also increased our testing activities. Our RT-PCR lab is working at 13 places in the country. Also, we are in the process of setting up labs at five more locations. We estimate that these labs will start working in three to four weeks at new locations.
‘Employees collecting samples are returning to their respective villages
Dr. Lal Path Lab said that the company is also expanding its existing facilities. Chairman and Managing Director of Thyrocare Technologies, Navi Mumbai, A.K. Velumani said that with the increase of Covid-19 infection cases, some sample collection employees have started returning to the village. This has affected the work of collecting samples. 50 percent of the migrant workers collecting the samples have gone to their villages. This is the situation in both Delhi and Mumbai. Therefore, the work of collecting samples of corona examination from people’s homes has stopped.
‘Not ready to get new employees even after overpayment’
Thyrocare Technologies is focusing on increasing its work soon. Velumani said that we increased five thousand investigations in March 2021. After this, 5,000 more investigations were done in April and at the same rate, the investigation will be increased in the next six months. During the last month, Coronavirus infection has increased at a stormy pace in the country. In such a situation, the new workers are not ready to work in view of the increased risk in this work. However, we are also ready to give them more remuneration. Soon this situation will be overcome and new people will be hired for this work.
