New Delhi: Axis Bank, India’s third largest private sector bank, on Wednesday announced the launch of banking services on WhatsApp for its customers. Now on WhatsApp, customers of the bank will be able to get information about their account balance, recent transactions, credit card payments, FD and RD details.

WhatsApp will act as a chatboat for the customers of the bank, meaning that they will be able to answer their questions in real time. Using WhatsApp banking, customers can chat with Axis Bank for questions related to their banking transactions, etc. Customers can use this facility to know the location of their nearest bank branch, ATM or loan center and to access various banking products. Can apply for Customers can also block their credit or debit card here. Even before Axis Bank, many banks have started banking services on WhatsApp for their customers. These include Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. The big reason for this is the user base of WhatsApp.
