New Delhi: The government said on Tuesday that there is no detention in Jammu and Kashmir and currently 223 people are in arrest. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy told the Lok Sabha that peace in Jammu and Kashmir after the removal of most of the provisions of Article 370 in August last year. Several steps were taken to maintain it. Some of these people were also detained as a precaution.
Reddy said, “As of September 11, 2020, 223 persons are in custody.” No person is a house arrest. “The Union Minister also said that after the partition of the then Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August 2019, there has been a significant decrease in the incidents of terrorism here. He said that 455 incidents of terrorism took place in Jammu and Kashmir (Jammu and Kashmir) in 402 days between 29 June 2018 to 4 August 2019, while 211 such incidents occurred in 402 days between 5 August 2019 and 9 September 2020. .
138 terrorists killed in Jammu and Kashmir in the last six months
At the same time, the government also told in Lok Sabha on Tuesday that 138 militants were killed in Jammu and Kashmir from March 1 to March 31 this year and 50 security personnel were killed in cross-border firing during this period.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy, in a written reply to AKP Chinraj and S Jagtarakshakan in the Lok Sabha, said that Jammu and Kashmir has been affected by cross-border sponsored and supported terrorism for more than three decades. He said that the government has adopted a policy of not tolerating terrorism at all. As a result, 138 militants were killed in Jammu and Kashmir from March 1 to August 31 this year.
