New Delhi: From last Monday, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) launched the DigiYatra app based on the beta version. Let us know that this app has been launched for the convenience of Android users and passengers traveling by plane. At the same time, according to DIAL, after the service of this app is started, passengers will no longer need to carry their identity card and boarding pass. Actually, with the help of this app, passengers will be able to take entry at the airport in a paperless and seamless manner.
While giving information, DIAL said that its purpose is to make the entry of passengers at the airport paperless and seamless, which will also save a lot of time. Meaning now with the help of this app, passengers will be given airport entry through facial recognition technology.
The app identifies passengers through facial recognition technology, which is linked to their boarding passes. At present, this facility has been started as a trial only at Terminal No. 3 of Delhi Airport. At the same time, if DIAL is to be believed, during the trial so far, about 20 thousand passengers have got paperless and seamless entry through this app.
Actually, with the help of this app, passengers have to submit their biometrics and other details only once. Then with the help of this detail, he can do his other upcoming trips comfortably. This means that passengers will no longer have to submit biometric details every time. At the same time, DIAL said that the beta version of the DigiYatra app has become available for download on Google Play Store. The iOS version of this app will also be made available within a week.
How to use
- First, you have to register on the DigiYatra app with the help of your phone numbers and Aadhaar details.
- Then take a selfie with the front camera of the phone and submit it.
- Finally, scan the vaccination details and boarding pass and add them to this app.
- Now you will be able to enter comfortably with the help of the app.
PROCESSES AT AIRPORT
- At the entry point E-Gate the Pax will scan his boarding pass or e-ticket (Print or a soft copy on mobile).
- On scanning the bar code/ QR code the system will validate the passenger details and flight details.
- Digi Yatra ID will verify the identity by Face Recognition.
- On successful verification of Ticket and Digi Yatra ID, e-Gate will open. Also, Face with ticket PNR is made into a single token for the rest of the journey at the airport.
- Passengers will gain entry to the security area and aircraft Boarding through e-Gate operated on the Facial Recognition System
