He said that the Congress noticed the work done by me, even the work that I did during my father’s stay in BJP. I have worked here with my father since 2009. I am convinced that the party (Congress) must have noticed the work done by me in the last elections and that is why they gave me this ticket.

‘Not ticketed due to familyism’
Admitting that he would contest elections in the BJP stronghold, Love said, should one be afraid to fight for this reason. I believe in fighting to prove my ability and show my ability to the world. Win or lose, it is not in my hands from anywhere. The public will decide and we have to accept their decision.

He said that there is an anti-incumbency wave against current BJP MLA Nitin Naveen here (Bankipur). He alleged that the BJP candidate inherited this seat from his father, who was an MLA from Bankipur. While dismissing the speculation of getting the ticket due to his father, Love said that if it was familyism, he would have chosen to contest the Lok Sabha elections and not the assembly elections.
