Mumbai: Bollywood filmmaker Nishikant Kamat has passed away. He was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad. Kamat had a liver disease and was admitted to AIG Hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad on 31 July.

Earlier, Ritesh had shared that filmmaker Nishikant was fighting for life and had prayed for her to happen. Nishikant Kamat is best known in Bollywood for directing films like Ajay Devgan and Tabu starrer films ‘Drishyam’ and Irrfan Khan’s ‘Madari’. He also acted in two films ‘Force’ and ‘Rocky Handsome’ with John Abraham.
Kamat (50) made his debut as a director in the 2005 Marathi film Dombivali Fast. His biggest hit till date was the 2015 film ‘Drishyam’ starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu. He played a villain in the 2016 film Rocky Handsome. He was also the director of this film starring John Abraham.
