Ayodhya: Ayodhya, the holy city of Lord Ram, is all set to witness the grand inauguration of the Ram Mandir on 22nd January. The event has sparked a wave of excitement and devotion among the devotees, who are eager to visit the temple and seek blessings. However, finding a place to stay in Ayodhya might be a challenge, as most of the hotels, guest houses, and Dharamshala are fully booked.
Hotels and guest houses
According to a report, 4000 hotels in Ayodhya have been booked in advance in the last five months. Some of the hotels have hiked their prices significantly, while others are offering rooms at their old rates. The city has 138 hotels and 70 guest houses, but there might not be any vacancies left.
Those looking for a cheaper and more spiritual option can opt for Dharamshala, which are religious rest houses. There are 50 Dharamshala in Ayodhya, but they are also in high demand. Some of the major Dharamshalas are Birla Dharamshala, Sitaraj Dharamshala, Gujarati Dharamshala, Kanak Mahal, Maharashtra Dharamshala, and Shri Ram Mahal. The prices of the rooms range from Rs 500 to Rs 1400. More than 1000 rooms have been booked in Dharamshalas so far.
Homestay and paying guest

Under the homestay and paying guest scheme, 1000 building owners in Ayodhya have been motivated and registered by the authorities. So far, 500 building owners have been linked with the scheme. A user-friendly mobile app and web portal have been launched to facilitate the booking process. The pilgrims can choose their preferred homestay or paying guest option through the app or website.
