Raipur: In a tragic incident, security personnel lost their lives during a Naxalite attack in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh. The Naxalites executed an IED blast in the Silger area of Sukma, specifically targeting the CRPF Cobra Battalion. The blast resulted in the martyrdom of two soldiers, while several others sustained injuries.

- Location: The incident occurred between Silger and Jagargunda, where the 201 Cobra Corps was on the move from their camp.
- IED Planting: Naxalites had strategically planted an improvised explosive device (IED) along the movement route.
- Tragic Outcome: Around 3:30 PM, a truck carrying soldiers passed over the IED, leading to the fatal blast that claimed two lives.
- Casualties: Among the casualties were truck driver soldiers Vishnu and Shailendra, while other soldiers were also wounded.
