NASA tests titanium toilet

Cape Cannarvel (US): NASA decades later tested a Titanium toilet designed for astronauts at a cost of $ 23 million, taking special care of the women’s facility.

The toilet was to be flown to the International Space Center off Wallops Island, Virginia late Thursday night by placing it in a cargo spacecraft, but the flight was halted just two minutes before the countdown. Northop Grumman has said that if engineers find out the problem, an attempt will be made to restart it on Friday.

The toilet weighs about 45 kg and is just 71 centimeters in height, which is currently half that of the Russian toilet in the space station. It is so small that it can be placed in NASA’s Orion capsule that will take astronauts to the moon after a few years. According to NASA, astronauts in the space station will use this toilet for a few months and if all goes well, it will be permanently installed.
