Washington: The first Indian-Muslim woman in the US Army, Chaplin Saleh Jabeen, has pledged to do his duty as a spiritual advisor with utmost sincerity. Chaplin is a professional adviser in religious matters. The historic graduation ceremony was held on February 5, according to an official statement released on Wednesday. Jabeen was appointed as a ‘Second Lieutenant’ at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago in December last year. She is the first female Muslim ‘Chaplin’ appointed to the Department of Defense. She came to the US 14 years ago as a student.
