An insurance cover of Rs 316.40 crore has also been taken by the board. Because the Ganesh idol is decorated by the Mandal with ornaments made of gold and other precious materials. Keeping this in mind, the Board has taken an insurance cover.

According to the Times of India news, the Mandal has taken various types of insurance against risks from New India Assurance to protect the pandal. In which gold and silver jewelry has been insured for Rs 31.97 crore. An insurance cover of Rs 1 crore for all other items like furniture, fixtures and fittings, computers, CCTV cameras present in the pandal and special risks in the pandal, accidents like fire, etc., for the site premises has been insured for Rs 77.5 lakh.

Not only this but personal accident insurance cover of Rs 263 crore has also been taken by the Mandal for priests, cooks, footwear stall employees, security guards, etc. Along with this, an insurance cover of Rs 20 crore has also been taken for the pandal, stadium, and devotees. Almost everything has been taken care of in this insurance cover.
