Sources said that the Sanctions Committee approved the amount of expenditure this week and allowed the money to be withdrawn from Lakhvi’s bank account. Lakhvi’s bank account transactions were banned after he was declared a terrorist by the United Nations. As per the approval from the council, Lakhvi will be allowed to withdraw 45 thousand for medicines, 50 thousand for food, 20 thousand for public facilities, 20 thousand for lawyer’s fees and 15 thousand rupees for transportation. The 60-year-old Lakhvi was declared a terrorist by the United Nations in December 2018 due to his involvement with Lashkar-e-Taiba and al-Qaeda and being involved in terrorist activities.
