

Bhopal: The five-day session of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly commencing from July 20 has been postponed due to the rapidly growing coronavirus infection in the state. According to the information received from the assembly sources, this decision was taken unanimously in the all-party meeting held here on Friday under the chairmanship of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Speaker Rameshwar Sharma.
He said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra, former Assembly Speaker NP Prajapati, former Minister Sajjan Singh Verma, etc. were present in this meeting. According to sources, now this decision will be sent to the governor and notification will be issued after his approval. The session was to be held from July 20 to July 24, in which important government legal and financial work was to be done along with passing the budget.
