New Delhi: NIA has arrested the most wanted Khalistani terrorist Kulwinderjit Singh from Delhi airport. The officer told that there was a reward of five lakh rupees for him. Kulwinderjit Singh alias ‘Khanpuria’, associated with terrorist organizations like Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF), was wanted for a long time.

Kulwinderjeet Singh alias ‘Khanpuria’ was arrested from the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Friday after his arrival here from Bangkok, the official said. Khanpuria was wanted and involved in several terror cases including hatching a conspiracy to carry out selective killings in Punjab. He was absconding since 2019 and the NIA announced a reward of five lakh rupees for information about him.

Mastermind of many terrorist attacks
The investigation has revealed that Kulwinderjeet Khanpuria is the main conspirator and mastermind behind the conspiracy to carry out terrorist attacks in India targeting establishments associated with Dera Sacha Sauda as well as police and security establishments in Punjab. Besides this, he was also targeting senior officials of Bhakra Beas Management Board, Chandigarh with the aim of creating terror in Punjab and the entire country.

Kulwinderjit Khanpuria, along with his associates based in various South-East Asian countries in India and abroad, planned and plotted terrorist attacks in India. Khanpuria later managed to escape from India. When he was abroad, he first clashed with Harmeet @PhD and is now with Pakistan-based ISYF chief Lakhbir Singh Rode, who wanted for using his India-based terrorist associates to target identified individuals and establishments.
