New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Health held a press conference on Tuesday to give information about the status of the Corona Virus in the country. Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said, “The number of active cases of Corona has come down to one and a half lakh. Kerala and Kerala have the most active cases, accounting for 71 percent of the total cases. ”
Most active cases in Kerala
The Ministry of Health said, “The number of cases of Covid infection has come down to less than 1,50,000. Still, two states, Kerala and Maharashtra, account for 71% of the total active cases in the country. There are 45% active cases in Kerala, 25% in Maharashtra, 4% in Karnataka, 3% in West Bengal, 3% in Tamil Nadu. ”
112 deaths per million
Rajesh Bhushan said, “Corona has caused 112 deaths per million population in the country.” He said, “There are less than 5,000 active cases of corona infection in 33 states. No deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours in 15 states and union territories. There are 7 states and union territories where no deaths have taken place in the last 3 weeks. ”
Health workers will be vaccinated by 20 February
The Union Health Ministry said, “We cannot keep scheduling and rescheduling healthcare workers indefinitely. States / Union Territories have been advised that all health workers should be scheduled for vaccination at least once by 20 February. States are informed from time to time. “
Not a single death in 15 states
The Health Secretary stated, “The average daily COVID-19 deaths have fallen by 55% in the last 5 weeks. There are 15 states and union territories where deaths have not been reported in the last 24 hours. No deaths have been reported in the last 3 weeks in 7 states and union territories. ”
More than 63 lakhs vaccinated
Bhushan said, “By this time, 63,10,194 health workers and front line workers have been given the first dose of the Covid vaccine. We will start the second dose on 13 February. ”
People rated vaccination
NITI Aayog health member Dr. VK Paul said, “We can say with confidence that the strategy of implementing the vaccination program and the experience of vaccination is now consistent, highly rated by the people.” He said, “It is noteworthy that there have been no deaths due to corona in Delhi in the last 24 hours.”
