Mumbai: The grand finale of one of the popular TV shows ‘Superstar Singer 2’ took place in a spectacular manner. In Mani of Dharamkot, Pranjal Biswas of West Bengal, Sayesha Gupta of Mohali, Aryan and R Babu, and Rituraj of Kerala participated. Mohammad Faiz of Jodhpur defeated these contestants and won the title of ‘Superstar Singer 2’ winner. Mohammad Faiz is just 14 years old now. But from the very beginning, he has mesmerized people with his voice. Mohammad Faiz surprised the judges with his voice right from the audition for the show. He was always praised a lot by every celebrity who came on the show. The voice of 14-year-old Faiz has really made the youth crazy. Popular contestant-singer Arunita Kanjilal, who was the runner-up of ‘Indian Idol 12’, was his mentor in this show. Arunita Kanjilal selected him for his team in the audition itself.
Winner Mohammad Faiz is currently studying in class IX. He says that he wants to balance his studies with singing. In an interview with ETimes, he said, “Going forward I want to focus on my studies and I want to be good at singing as well. I want to keep doing Riyaz all the time and also connect with the audience.
Mohammad Faiz, the winner of ‘Superstar Singer 2’, has been awarded the trophy and a cash prize of 15 lakhs. Mani, who became the runner-up, got a cash amount of 5 lakhs. The show featured popular Indian Idol 12 contestants Sayali Kamble, Pawandeep Rajan, Mohd Danish, Salman Ali, and Arunita Kanjilal as team mentors. Famous singers Alka Yagnik, Javed Ali, and Himesh Reshammiya were in the role of judges. The event was hosted by singer-actor Aditya Narayan. After saying goodbye to this show, the auditions for the new season of Indian Idol have also started.
